Important Tips On Caving Expedition

Caving is one of the most adventurous and enthusiastic sport or recreation for travelers and trekkers. Sometime many beginners’ gets annoy due to several reasons which I’ve explained in this article that must be attempted while going for any caving expedition in future. A several incidents happen in various cave explorations worldwide. Hope these small notes will help for the seekers of cave explorations.


To Do List for Cave Trekkers

  • Listen and follow the caving guide (if have);
  • Maintain noise and help others too;
  • Wear rubber soled tipped shoes;
  • Cave with dry dress and body;
  • Bring some light energy food;
  • Always wear helmet with a chin belt;
  • Check your first-aid, food and caving equipments before entering into;

My Trip to Amarkantak & Jabalpur on March-2012

Amarkantak may not be one of the most popular tourist destinations of India but to those who know Indian culture and tradition is well aware of the fact that it is one of the most sacred pilgrimage destinations of the Hindus. Popularly known as “Teerthraj” (the king of pilgrimages), Amarkantak is deemed to be the door-way to “Nirvana”. Apart from being a sacred pilgrimage destination, Amarkantak with its verdant hills, forested surroundings and breathtakingly beautiful waterfalls has all the ingredients for a memorable tour in the midst of nature. This great-unexplored tourism destination of Madhya Pradesh is a place worth a visit.....// Must see It.

The Holy places like Amarkantak – king of pilgrimages in India Shiva temple, Kartikey temple, Shri Ram Janki temple, Annapurna temple, Guru Gorakhnath temple, Sri Shuryanarayan temple, Vangeshwar Mahadev temple, Durga temple, Shiva Pariwar, Siddheswar Mahadev temple, Sri Radha Krishna temple, Eleven Rudra temple etc. Even Sonemuda,Kapildhara, Kapileshwar Temple, Dudhdhara, Kabir Chabutra, Mai Ki Bagiya, Jwaleshwar Temple etc re-echoing to me time to time,... Khuangchera PUK Caving Expidition On Nov-2011

This cave having one entrance and one exit post. So caving in this Puk is one of the best sites for beginners in caving background. Inside the cave all kind of caving techniques are required. There are some places where one has to do climbing, crawling chimney climbing, squeezing of one self, sliding down even need to pushing with One’s self and needs to pulling by successor one.
  • Name of the cave: KHUANCHERA PUK.
  • Place: Inside the Ailawng village.
  • Distance from Aizawl (Mizoram) : About 29km
  • Length of the cave: 162mtr.
  • Wide: 3mtr widest at the central region.
  • Narrow: 50cm at the lowest edge part
  • Height of the roof: 2.5mtr max.
  • Status: This one explored by the Mumbai explorer club in association with Mizoram Adventurers
