For the first time we the STEP Trekker’s[ www.steptrekkers.org ] were Organized
our first maiden trek in Odisha on the month of February-2014 as ‘’Odisha
coastal trek cum Heritage tour ‘’ for 11 days. After its grand success again
we’re plan out for launching another three tour n trip program with
including the repeat Coastal trek cum heritage tour in Jan-2015[Jan24th
to Feb 04th]. Out of these three
flagship programs in Odisha, This ‘’HERITAGE
SITE CUM TRIBAL TOUR IN ODISHA & CHHATTISGARH’’ is One of
them.

Bhubaneswar airport/ Rly stn transfer to the BASE Camp at Over night at ABHISEK LODGE, Cuttack-puri road, Bhubaneswar.Later
if time permit half day sightseeing of famous city temples including Rajarani,
Parsurameswar, Mukteswar ( Gem of Orissan architecture ), Brahmeswar &
Lingaraj ( it is the biggest temple in Bhubaneswar). Over night at ABHISEK LODGE, Cuttack-puri road, Bhubaneswar.

Morning visit to KHANDAGIRI and UDAYAGIRI [Jain] caves (the oldest rock cut caves).Then visit to Odisha state Museum, Lunch At ISKCON temple,THEN visit to NANDANKANAN [open natural zoo of eastern India. It is also famous for white tiger & lion safari[Monday closed].You can also enjoys boat ride in lake, Cable Car, Toy train, Aquarium, Children park, cafeteria etc up to evening then transfer to Hotel if time permit then will be visit to tribal Museum or adivasi haat. Over night at ABHISEK LODGE, Cuttack-puri road, Bhubaneswar.

Bhubaneswar – Dhaulistupa [Buddhist pagoda] - Pipli - Raghurajpur - Puri
Morning visit to Dhauli STUPA the peace pagoda.THEN Moves towards Pipli the applique work village then to Sakhigopal. Lunch at chandanpur then move for Raghurajpur the Artistic & craft village of Puri District.On arrival at Puri check in to the hotel. Relax on the golden beach of Puri in Evening and Overnight at PURUSOTTAM MATH, Bali Sahi,Puri.

Puri - Konark - Puri
Morning visit to Jagannath temple (non Hindus are not allowed). Then drive to Konark on Marine Drive to visit the Sun temple (one of the world famous heritage site). Enroute visit Ramchandi temple, Chandrabhaga beach & Konark. While on return will try to touch fishermen’s village[Penthapkatta] to Observe their fishing activities. Return back to Puri by Evening. Enjoys the multi-colored experiences while visit on the Sea beach market area, Swargadwar[funeral point]. And Overnight at PURUSOTTAM MATH, Bali Sahi,Puri.

Puri - Chilika - Gopalpur
Morning drive to Chilika lake at Barkul ( the largest brackish water lake ). At Chilika take the boat cruise to explore the birds island & Nalabana island. Then proceeId to Gopalpur and check in to the hotel. Overnight at Gopalpur On Govt.Youth Hostel.
Day 06: 15/09/2014 [SCHEDULE also for option B & C]

Morning drive to Rayagada enroute visit Taptapani the hot sulpheric spring, Open Air Dear park, lakhari wildlife sanctuary & Saura tribal villages.On arrival at Rayagada check in to the hotel. Overnight at Rayagada.

drive to Dukum (near Bisamkatak ) to visit weekly
market of Desia kondh & Dongaria Kondh( weekly market
commence on Tuesday only ) . Later
visit to Dokra crafts village at Jhigidi. Return back to

Rayagada - Chatikona – Jeypore
After breakfast drive down to Chatikona to watch the interesting colourful weekly market of Dongriya Kondh Tribes (weekly market commences on Wednesday only). This tribe is one of the most primitive tribe of the Kondh's and they live in the high slopes of the Niyamagiri Hills. Then visit to Minapai (the bamboo craft village ). Later drive to Jeypore.Overnight at hotel in Jeypore.

It is a unique opportunity to see such a colourful concentration of typical tribals at one place. Most interesting is to watch the Bonda woman in their colourful Jewellaries and marketing commodities.Then drive back to Jeypore. Overnight at hotel in Jeypore.

After breakfast, drive to Kunduli to visit the weekly market of Paraja tribes (weekly market commence on Friday only). It is the biggest market of this tribal area. Then visit Jagannath Temple[SABARI SHREE KHETRA] & tribal museum at Koraput &.Lunch at Same premises. Then drive to Jagdalpur. While on the way, visit o Jeypore king’s palace & on the way to Kotapada again will visit to a weaving village. Then Permit requires for entering into chittisgarh Overnight at Jagdalpur.

Kutumsar Caves & Kailash GUMPHA[if the weather support] on rainy
condition the caves were not suitable to explore deeply. Then visit to Tirathgarh waterfall after photography again
moves towards Mardum to see the tribal market of Maria & Muria tribes. Then
drive to Chitrakoot Water Falls (known as Niagra of Chhatisgarh ) . Finally on
evening [just after sunset scene] drive towards jagadalpur And Night stay.

This is the District Head quarter of Bastar. It has Un-counting sightseeing places of interest, but we Can plan to visit some them. SAHEED PARK, DALPAT SAGAR, Ganga Munda[samudra] lake, The Archaeological museum, Anthropological museum, Bastar palace, Bastar haat[Only on Sunday near by the palace]Where you can Shoots a series of tribal photographs, After lunch visit to SOLAR PARK,pachranpal, Finally to the Bastar town where you can see the ruined capital of 12th century A.D of Kakatiya kings.Then after Back And stay at Jagadalpur.

Monday [The day of Option tour]
- Jagadalpur
– Kondagaon- Narainpur[Art & craft villages of Bastar] & Back to
Jagadalpur
Early morning, Will set up accordingly for Kondagaon trip as GET,..Sett & go from our Boarding destination GOYAL DHARMASALA,Jagadalpur. 71km [2.5hr] trip towards North Bastar region. There we visit KUMHARPARA [A village of art n craft], After 2 hr of Break again we moves towards Narainpur [47km distance from kondagaaon], Narainpur is another Craftsmanship village of Bastar.Lunch at some Hotel, Then After visit some shops and preparatory workshops we’ll visit the RAMAKRISHNA MISSION Centre then after Back to JAGADALPUR.

- Jagadalpur- Barasur-BairamGarh-Dantewada &
Back.
After get up early morning moves towards BARASUR, After covering some
historical and monument sites moves towards Dantewada After lunch on Post lunch
session will move via unfold bounties of Nature via DANTIM Forest trails. 2nd
half at Dantewada By Evening will try to Back for Bairamgarh and Night stay. If
we were cover this mean will moves first on very next day to touch Jagadalpur
by 10AM of 14th day [23/09/2014 on Tuesday].

Departure Program with a sweet

Morning After a small briefing, the valedictory ceremony will arrange at same GOYAL DHARAMSALA, Jagadalpur Again will try to touch SHILPA GRAM Village for final marketing of BASTAR Art & craft products. By noon the group will disperse with lots of sweet memories, participants will drops at Bus stand or Railway station of JAGADALPUR.

Bhubaneswar in between 9.00AM TO 12 Noon at ABHISHEK LODGE, Cuttack-puri road,
Bhubaneswar.
B) For
Option B, Those were only interested for TRIBAL TOUR IN ODISHA, They were advise to report
at Berhampur railway station on 15th Sept 2014 by 6.30 AM. Or Can be
reported One day Before at GOVT, YOUTH HOSTEL at Gopalpur on Sea [18km from
Chatrapur or 16 km from Berhampur city] But the Accommodation with Other
expenses will borne by the participants.
And able to pay as per given above fees for option B Only, if case some
One interested for both Option B & C, Can deposit Rs [7000+4000]= Rs
11,000/- on STEP’s A/C.
C) If
Some One Can Only Interested for Option C Tribal cum heritage tour in Southern
Chhattisgarh, then Advise to pay Only Rs 4000/- only for 3 Night and 4 days.
And will need to report on 19th Sept 2014 by 6.00PM At GOYAL
DHARAMSALA, Station Road, Jagadalpur[Chhattisgarh], India.
