Clicks from CHHATAR YATRA-2015, The Untold story Vs Recent Days,

A SHORT NOTESA different celebration WITH following Very rich Old tradition,....... I'd Visited for first time on my life for enjoying this festival with my family on 18th Oct to 21st Oct-2015.
It is the pre-festival celebration time for western Odisha as Nuakhai & CHHATAR. And one of the most prominent festival CHHATAR YATRA of the region, Which was celebrated on Tuesday i:e 21st Oct 2015. Many people who work outside, including the labourers who have migrated, have come back to their villages to take part in the festivities. Performances of puja and other rituals, fests and social gatherings, merry-making with song and dance form part of the celebrations besides it they were also giving some life as sacrifice to Goddess Maa Manikeswari.

The royal family will take Nabanna only on Maha Navami after the Chhatar Yatra of Goddess Manikeswari in Bhawanipatna during Dussehra function,This is because the new rice needs to be offered to God Budha Raja, believed to be residing in the Manikeswari temple premises, and His temple opens only for two days ~ Maha Ashtami and Maha Nabami ~ and remains closed throughout the year.
I'd really lucky fellow for this time to see all these activities with my family, because of cancell about three/ four programs. Also after 7 times attempt to visit there, since 2009, this is year 2015, finally Greeted by MAA MANIKESWARI.
